On this 1 day trip, we will explore Meknes, the city, where the first Arab dynasty was created by Moulay Ismail and the former capital of Morocco. We will also visit Ifrane, the so-called “the Switzerland of Morocco”, and the Berber town of Azrou. While driving alongside the Cedar forest, you will be amused by the play of the Barbary monkeys.

Tour Plan
Day 1
After breakfast at 08:00 am, we start our 1 Day trip to Meknes from Fez. It is served by the expressway between those two cities and by the corresponding railway. Meknes was the capital of Morocco under the reign of Moulay Ismail (1672–1727) before it was relocated to Marrakech. The population is 1,000,000 (2012 census). It is the capital of the Meknes-Tafilalet region. Meknes is named after a Berber tribe which was known as Miknasa (native Berber name: Imeknasen) in the medieval North African sources. Meknès, which is known as “the Moroccan Versailles”, symbolizes the power of Sultan Moulay Ismail with an imposing setting epitomized by the Bab-El-Mansour Gate
After exploring Meknes, we will drive to Ifrane, the so-called because of its architecture “the Switzerland city of Ifran”, where we have the possibility to make a pause for coffee and a walk through its wonderful streets. We will continue driving to the Berber town of Azrou. There we will have lunch at the restaurant and have a rest before we drive alongside the Cedar forest, where you can see the Barbary monkeys jumping between the branches of cedar forests; We will come back to Fez, where our 1 Day trip to Meknes from Fez ends.

- In order to book your any quoted tour, we require a deposit of 20% of the total amount. Balance can be paid upon the beginning of the tour.
You can pay the deposit via PayPal, Western union or bank transfer. The balance can be paid by cash in Euros or US Dollars, PayPal or Credit card in Mad adding 5% for the bank commission.
PRICING INFO
- Your Private Morocco Tours includes transportation via an air-conditioned 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser, all fuel expenses, and the services of your local driver/guide.
The cost will vary based on the following factors:
- The total number of the guest – the more of you traveling, the cheaper the tour gets as you are sharing the cost of 4×4-wheel car & fuel & driver (friends, family and loved ones).
- The number of days.
- Most of the hotels and riads, we recommend are 4* hotels; however, luxurious accommodations 5* are also available. In the desert we recommend special luxury tents with private bathrooms.
- The activities you may choose: camel trekking, sand boarding, quad & buggies riding, horses riding, air ballooning, etc.
- Adult & Child prices are available. Children under 10 years old can have a discount.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refund of your deposit will be available, if due to an emergency you cancel 30 or more days prior to the arrival date.
If you cancel between 30 and 14 days prior to the arrival date, we will keep the deposit.
If you cancel 14 days or less prior to the arrival date, we will require the full amount.
